Moisture-aware planning
A dry-looking concrete surface does not answer every question about the conditions below or around the slab.

Basement concrete can become a clean, durable, design-led surface—but it needs a different conversation than a garage. Moisture history, the room’s use, existing finishes, and the slab condition all shape the right recommendation.

A CLEARER FLOOR CONVERSATION
We use the condition of the concrete and the practical use of the space to guide the system, preparation, and final visual direction.
A dry-looking concrete surface does not answer every question about the conditions below or around the slab.
A playroom, finished rec area, utility space, studio, or storage area can call for different visual and practical priorities.
Existing flooring, old adhesive, cracks, repairs, and edge details are part of defining a realistic scope.
A basement can be a great candidate for a coated floor, but it is not a generic conversion. We start with the room’s history: dampness, prior coverings, water events, the age of the concrete, existing coatings, cracks, and the function the finished space needs to support.
A seamless floor can make a utility room easier to clean or turn a finished area into something more intentional. The system, colour, texture, and gloss should support the way the room will feel and function alongside furniture, walls, lighting, and other finishes.
Old adhesive, damaged concrete, perimeter details, transitions, and moisture-related concerns are easier to discuss at the beginning. Photos and room dimensions are a helpful first step, followed by an assessment of the conditions that matter for the final floor.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Moisture history is important to the recommendation. We need to understand the condition before deciding whether, how, or when a coating system makes sense.
Utility rooms, storage areas, studios, finished recreation spaces, and similar interiors can be considered. The right direction depends on the slab and how the room will be used.
Existing flooring, adhesive, and coatings need to be assessed. Preparation requirements are confirmed from the material and the condition beneath it.
