What matters in practice

Diamond grinding is commonly used because it prepares the main floor and helps reveal cracks, soft areas, previous repairs and contamination. Edges, corners, steps and the garage-door threshold still need separate attention; a large grinder cannot reach every detail.

Preparation also creates the moment when the scope becomes honest. Oil may be deeper than expected, an old coating may release unevenly, or a crack may continue below a patch. Those findings should be discussed before decorative material hides them.

Dust control is part of professional preparation. Connected collection equipment, detailed vacuuming and a clean work area help protect the installation surface and keep the project organized. The goal is prepared concrete—not a room covered in grinding dust.
