A decorative flake floor has visual and physical texture, but that does not make one universal traction claim honest for every space. The real question is how the garage is used: wet vehicles, salt slush, cleaning routines, footwear, slopes, drains and the amount of texture selected all affect how the surface feels underfoot.
A full-broadcast flake system can be a practical choice because its texture is more forgiving than a perfectly smooth glossy surface. The protective topcoat and final texture should still be selected around the project, especially in areas that see regular water or a transition at the garage door.
