Decorative flake is one of the reasons a coated floor can feel personal instead of generic. It can pull together cabinetry, wall colour, brick, vehicles and how bright or calm you want the space to feel. But a laptop screen is not a garage, and a colour that looks perfect in a supplier photo may read differently under your own lighting.
Neutral blends remain popular for a reason. Domino, Orbit, Comet, Wombat, Coyote and similar decorative flake options can hide ordinary dust and tire marks while still giving the floor depth. Darker blends can feel sharper and more dramatic, while lighter blends can make a garage feel larger and brighter.
Think about the elements that are staying in the room. Warm cabinetry, beige brick and tan trim usually want a different direction than cool grey walls, black hardware and a modern white garage door. Bring photos of those elements when choosing a sample. It makes the conversation about the whole room instead of only a two-inch chip card.
We use physical samples to confirm the direction before installation. Availability can vary, and custom blends may have different lead times, so the final selection should always be checked with the supplier and approved in the actual space whenever possible.
