Hot-tire pickup is a common name for a coating that softens, sticks to a warm tire and pulls away from the concrete. It is not simply a tire problem. It often points to weak surface preparation, an incompatible coating, poor adhesion, contamination or a system that was not built for the conditions.
A reliable garage floor begins with mechanically preparing sound concrete, addressing old paint or weak material and building compatible layers. A protective topcoat supports day-to-day use, but it cannot rescue a coating that was installed over a surface it could never hold onto.
If an old floor is peeling where vehicles park, send close-up photos along with a wide view of the garage. Those patterns help us understand whether removal, repair or a different system direction belongs in the plan.
